Abstract

It is difficult to find a good definition of a leader or the qualities of leadership. Yet for organisational success it is a key ingredient. We know leaders when we meet them. They are the people who give a lead and whom others follow. They take charge, make decisions and provide the motivating force for others. Leaders make a difference. They possess certain qualities recognisable by others which give them the confidence to put their trust in the leader.
