Abstract
I propose to develop this subject in three stages, each with a view of examining the conceptual implications for the neurophysiologist: after addressing what is now often referred to as “orthodox computationalism”, I will turn to “connectivism” with a more controversial posture, and finally become outright heretic by calling into question the relevance of representational computationalism of all denominations for the neurophysiologist’s essential concerns.
