Abstract

Those concerned with caring for people who are ill are frequently confronted with the problem of how to provide the highest quality of care in the most proficient and cost-effective way. As part of this health care, nurses today are looking at suitable frameworks in which to practise, and thereby be able to assist the patient or client to full recovery, or to an assisted independence, or to a peaceful death.
