Abstract

I consider the management should have an establishment of eight persons, normally six Managers and two Assistant Managers, though the distribution may vary from time to time. This staffing allows sufficient spare time for outside jobs round Liverpool and for visiting foreign parts by ship. Two of the Managers should always be designated to make “Ship Management” the first charge on their time and energy … the other four Managers should be responsible for general commercial operation of the ships and other duties.

True family ‘spirit’, with the Flag at the top of the mast, is ever the road to righteous victory.
