Abstract
During 1975–1988 Hungary’s relations within the CMEA have been marked by the following difficulties: the narrowing of purchasing opportunities (the stagnation or fall in the quantity of imports that Hungary wished to purchase); the faltering of the earlier stability of purchase and sale; and the considerable deterioration in Hungarian terms of trade and in non-price conditions of trade.
