Abstract
The activities of the European Commission extend into most aspects of our social and economic environment and, as we proceed towards a fully realised Single Market, and beyond, the Commission’s role will become even more influential. Knowledge of the financial programmes administered by the Commission is not only an economic priority for companies, but also a source of valuable intelligence about current policy priorities and future directions which the EC might take. Any corporate strategy ignoring EC policy and developments would be deficient in its assessment of opportunities and threats in the future.
