Abstract
Karol Horák was born in 1943 in Katarínska Huta, in the Lučenec district of south central Slovakia. He went to university at Prešov and now lectures on Slovak literature at the Arts Faculty there. At the same time he is active in both the professional and amateur theatre in Prešov and has written or produced a number of plays. Some of his work has been performed on the wireless.
Comic dialect is humor plus anthropology.

In his review of the work, ‘Vizitka prozaickej vyspelosti’, Večerník, 17 April 1980, p. 5, Ivan Sulík accepts as an entirely positive matter that the scholar is trying selflessly to retrieve the dying linguistic and folklore heritage of the village, which is itself indifferent to its cultural heritage.
