Abstract
By late middle age, most people have evolved the sort of existence that they want to continue. They may not have achieved all the aspirations of their youth, and their plans for the future may have been recast to come to terms with reality, but as they enter the later years only a few would truly desire a radical change. For the vast majority the option they desire most is the satisfactory continuation of their present lifestyle, give or take a little here or there.
