Abstract

Cartograms are simple maps which provide information about different areas. The information is usually presented in actual numbers and percentages as in Figure 16.1 below. They are used to make comparisons between different areas.

Cartograms are often used to show regional house prices (source of cartogram: Sunday Times, 9 October 1988)
