The Observation of Eye Movement Using Magnetic Resonance Imaging

  • Chapter

Abstract

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is free from the dangers of radiation and capable of photographing fine anatomical structures like the orbit, has found increasing acceptance in the field of ophthalmology (Jong et al., 1984). We utilized cine mode MRI (Keith et al., 1987 and Udo et al., 1987), employing multiple MRI photographs shown serially in cinematic format for the direct observation of eye movement within the orbit.
