Abstract
The pathogenesis of strabismic amblyopia and anisometropic amblyopia in clinical study is not all clarified. Why does visual acuity of anisometropic amblyopia in preschool children improves very easily and quickly? We had reported that there was a significant amplitude decrease in pattern visually evoked potential (PVEP) even in the anisometropic amblyopia of which the visual acuity improved at normal level (Ohzeki,T. Adachi-Usami,E. 1984). Unilateral subnormal accommodation in the strabismic and anisometropic amblyopes was presented measuring the proximun of accommodation (Abraham, S,V. 1961). We studied the objective evaluation of accommodation using PVEP and compared to the subjective accommodation using dioptric accommodater in anisometropic amblyopia and normal children.
