Abstract

In the preceding two chapters we have discussed longer-term indicators of radical innovations on various definitions. In the following we shall examine whether our findings from Chapters 3 and 4 are consistent with statistics on the foundation of new research labs and with more commonly-used innovation indicators such as data on R & D and patenting.
