Abstract
The Cameroon is a country of great ethnic heterogeneity. Our categorization of this diversity demands a rather high level of abstraction. In judging greater or lesser cultural similarity between groups, it is necessary to ignore variation on specific cultural variables and to define an acceptable range of variation at a level of relatively high generalization.
