Baring International Investment Management Ltd
Baring International Investment Management Ltd (BUM) is an independently managed subsidiary of Barings engaged in international equity and fixed-interest portfolio management. Separate portfolios with a minimum size of $20 million are managed for institutional clients. The group also manages a range of offshore and UK authorized unit trusts. The company was formed in 1975 as a joint venture between Baring Brothers and Henderson Administration to manage their Pacific region equity portfolios. Barings acquired Henderson’s shareholding in the company in 1985, when the present name was adopted. In January 1988 Barings merged its international fixed interest division with the company.
