Abstract
The definition of culture on which this paper is based is taken from Raymond Williams, who states it to be, ‘the signifying system through which … a social order is communicated, reproduced, experienced and explored’.1 As well, I draw my inspiration from Antonio Gramsci’s thesis, (via Terry Eagleton), that ‘A revolution which can transform modes of production but not types of speech, social relations but not styles of architecture, remains radically incomplete.
