Using SORT, sorting directories, sorting a file

One of the most useful tasks a computer can do is to sort data into order. This data can be of any type: alphabetic, numeric or a mixture of both. The DOS SORT command will sort files of data into ascending or descending order and on one of any number of key characters. First of all we shall do the easiest operation.
