Abstract
The principles outlined in chapter 3 are now applied to the construction of a P compiler. Separate subsections describe the implementation of the various phases, lexical analysis, syntax analysis, semantic analysis and code generation, in turn. No code optimisation is attempted in the P compiler. The compiler is one pass, with a simple procedural interface between the four phases.
