Abstract

People interested in science are forever asking questions. Some questions like ‘what is the maximum weight which a rope can hold? ’ have straightforward answers. A simple experiment will provide the answer. ‘How long does it take an object to fall 23 metres? ’ is another question which is easily answered by calculation or by an experiment. What about a question like ‘why is a lead pipe so much heavier than a copper pipe? ’ or ‘Why does water form drops? ’
