Abstract
This period, from the start of the Second World War in 1939 to the start of the 1950s, was crucially important in shaping the modern world. For that reason, it features in the syllabuses of all the Examining Groups. Take note, though, that only LEAG and SEG look at the Second World War itself in detail; the other groups only look at parts of it. Check just how much of it you will need to know about for the course you are following.
