Abstract
In Chapter 3 (Orthographic Projection) some details dealing with lines, dimensioning and sections were given. The details given in Chapter 3 apply to other forms of graphics as well as to engineering. In this Chapter further details which specifically apply to engineering graphics are included. Two British Standards Institution publications are of particular importance in engineering drawing. These are:
-
BS 308 Engineering Drawing Practice — in three parts.
-
PD 7308 Engineering Drawing Practice for Schools and Colleges.
-
PD 7308, which is in one part only, deals with only those details from BS 308 which are in general use in schools and colleges.
