Abstract
I was born in a place called Centerville, Kentucky, USA, on 4 August 1904, but my passport says that I was born in Paris, Kentucky. The reason is that Centerville, Bourbon County, had no courthouse, jail, police, or anyone who represented the law, so the births were recorded in Paris, which was the ruling center of Bourbon County.
