Abstract

Stocktaking is a necessary part of every retailer’s life, and customers are well aware when stocktaking is about to take place. You often see notices like ‘This shop will be closed for stocktaking on …’; or you feel stocktaking is about to happen because there is almost nothing left in the sales area.
