British Overseas Trade Board publications. These include Overseas Trade, a magazine appearing ten times a year, the Hints to Exporters series; booklets giving details of BOTB services and reports on particular markets or aspects of markets, e.g. Basic facts and Spain’s Accession to the EEC. Some are free for bona fide United Kingdom exporters; some are charged, usually at a marginal cost price; apply to the office of the relevant Director (Exports).
The Civil Service Year Book. Annual (edition published in early spring). Gives organisation of all government departments and offices, duties of branches, names and telephone numbers. Whilst recent frequent reorganisation makes it out-of-date it always gives a starting point. Enquiries to HMSO, PO Box 276, London SW8 5DT (01–211 5656).
The Diplomatic Service List. Annual (edition published in January). Gives organisation and names of staff down to assistant heads of departments in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, addresses, telephone numbers, telex numbers, and names of staff in all diplomatic service posts overseas, and potted biographies of members of the service. Comments on the Civil Service Year Book also apply. Enquiries to HMSO, PO Box 276, London SW8 5DT (01–211 5656).
