Abstract

The Structured Design System is the core of Silvar Lisco’s SL2000 Integrated Design suite. Its aim is to provide an integrated environment for the design of electronic circuits and systems. Through SDS the user can create, edit and implement designs in a structured manner. There are four areas of interest which will be examined in this chapter.
  1. (i)

    Database initialisation and maintenance.

  2. (ii)

Interactive generation and editing of schematics.

  3. (iii)

Extraction of topological information from the schematic.

  4. (iv)

Interfacing to other automatic design tools.
