Abstract
On the occasion of the publication of Maurice Allais’s book, L’impôt sur le capital et la réforme monetaire,1 the Centre Jouffroy pour la Réflexion Monétaire in Paris organised a seminar at which various bankers and university lecturers were present. The topic of discussion was a chapter in the book, called ‘Les faux-monnayeurs’ (The forgers).
