Abstract
1 A steam turbine is supplied with steam at the rate of 2000 kg/h. The condition of the steam is 5 bar and 200 °C. The velocity of the steam entering the turbine is negligible. Expansion of the steam within the turbine is adiabatic and the steam leaves with a velocity of 20 m/s. The condition of the steam at exit from the turbine is 0.1 bar and 0.98 dry.
