Abstract
Buildings of different use will contain varying amounts of electrical, mechanical and sanitary services, and this will generally be reflected in the initial building costs. In domestic premises, services may represent only a small proportion of overall construction costs whereas in the case of a hospital building the cost of services may outweigh the costs of the building fabric.
