Abstract

One of the major features of a BTEC course is that much of the work is carried out in groups. BTEC encourages this form of working because it is in groups, both formal and informal, that people spend much of their time at work. Those of you who are part-time students will have already experienced this and know the importance of working with others to the success of an enterprise. In fact, the individual method of working still employed by many secondary schools is a rather exceptional activity. In most spheres of life we do things by working in concert with others.
