Abstract

Established in 1970, The Young Vic in London is a theatre originally aiming at a young audience. Recently, in particular since David Thacker became director in 1984, the theatre has produced a number of Shakespeare plays. Ghosts, the first play by Ibsen presented at this theatre, was performed on 2 October 1986, running throughout October and then transferred to Wyndham’s Theatre for another three months. In February 1987 the company went to Oslo for a guest performance.
