Abstract
Many companies have overseas interests, with expatriate staff working abroad for two to three years at a time and other staff making short tours lasting from a few days to a few weeks: It is prudent for the company to ensure as far as possible the continuing good health of their staff whilst abroad, particularly for the latter group, who are likely to be moving from place to place when even a minor illness, alone, abroad, is alarming, inconvenient, saps self-confidence and is expensive to the company in lost time.
