Abstract
The area of religion is one where great sensitivity is needed by the teacher. Although on occasions this may require you to adjust or modify your overall teaching programme, for example when Jehovah’s Witness parents ask their child to be withdrawn from many activities before Christmas, it is important to remember that you must avoid making the child ‘feel a nuisance’ because of his family’s religious practices.
