Children Who Sulk

  • R. L. Dawson

Most children sulk at some time or other. Usually it is in response to some frustrating situation over which they feel they have no active control or influence. Fortunately for most of them these periods will not be a regular feature of their overall behaviour and will not, when they occur, last very long. Although this Unit will give some guidelines for dealing with these short-term, one-off, periods of sulking behaviour displayed by most children, it is primarily directed towards those children whose sulking is a regular and persistent feature of their behaviour.
