Abstract
The success of the 1911 Melba—J. C. Williamson season had long since made Melba certain that a second, even a third season could be just as effective artistically and financially. War put an end to such ambitions but in 1924 and again in 1928 the old partnership was revived to everyone’s satisfaction.
