Abstract
Over the years the Year Book has expanded the amount of information published on individual companies, so that now investors can learn not only a company’s historical record and management details, but also identify areas of similarity and of difference between one trust and another. As a result the Year Book has now progressed to the stage where an investor can learn almost everything he may need to know concerning any individual investment trust: its directors and management, its historical record, its size, its main investment areas, both industrially and geographically, its principal investments, its performance relative to other investment trusts, and its investment policy. Indeed, it may be claimed, justifiably, that no other group of listed companies supplies so much information about itself.
