Abstract

The latest population data available for Luxembourg is 1982. Then the population was estimated at 365,500, an increase of approximately 2.3 per cent since 1974. Over the period 1974–82, the mix between males and females has been growing in favour of the female component. For example, in 1974 50.4 per cent of the total population was female, but this proportion had risen to 51.4 per cent by 1982.
