Abstract
Weather forecasting has a long tradition of international collaboration and there are numerous cooperative efforts involving meteorological satellites. The most notable are the World Weather Watch (WWW), the Global Atmospheric Research Programme (GARP) and the Integrated Global Ocean Station System (IGOS).
