Abstract

As recognized by the Supreme Court in the case of Kewanee Oil Co. v. Bicr on Corp.,’ the protection of trade secrets and confidential information in the United States has primarily been a matter of state law. Thus instead of a uniform body of United States federal trade secret law, each state has determined, through its courts and state statutes, the nature of the trade secret law to be applied in that state.
