Abstract
This chapter is written for the benefit of project managers and engineers who might have the responsibility for the design and implementation of an FMS. It is not intended to provide all the necessary theory on how a full financial appraisal should be carried out, but more to ensure that if such an analysis is required, and is approached as suggested, it will prove to be both comprehensive and acceptable.
