Abstract
The production of typed or printed material is the province of word processor users (see Chapter 8) or one of the functions of microcomputer users. However, the typewriter still has an office function and will continue to have one for many years to come — particularly in small offices or in those where the volume of typed material is small. The machine(s) used will depend on a range of factors and of these cost is of prime importance.
