Abstract
Mercury Communications Limited operates under a licence from the British government is the alternative telecommunications carrier in the UK and overseas. Its service is initially intended for organizations with substantial information handling needs and has been offered first in London, then nationally through an inter-city network and internationally by satellite and undersea cable links.
