Abstract
For the rest of 1948 the affairs of St Antony’s seemed to be marking time. AB by now had broken off relations with Clyde, and there was a temporary coolness in his relationship with the University Registrar. Dean Lowe, the new Vice-Chancellor, had no developments to report to him. But before leaving Le Paradou for Aden in the autumn AB had established a new and very fruitful friendship.
