Abstract

In modern societies, vast amounts of printed literature are created every year. The purpose of this printed matter is to communicate information and influence other people in society. All businesses and commercial establishments generate a printed output, whether it is in the form of letters to clients, customers, salespeople and the public, or in the form of technical manuals and advertising brochures for engineers or buyers. Books, newspapers and magazines form another important part of a society’s printed output.
