Abstract
After the heady euphoria of 1912, 1913 began quietly. More confident now in his compositions, Grainger looked forward with eager anticipation to the second series of the Balfour Gardiner Choral and Orchestral Concerts which began on 11 February and which included the first performance of his much valued Hill-Song.
