Abstract
All the papers published in this volume were submitted at the time of the Purine Satellite meeting, and it is clear reading many of them that authors are often still struggling to present and discuss data in terms of receptors whose significance is inadequately defined. An ad hoc discussion was therefore proposed and held on the second day of this symposium in an attempt to establish some guidelines for the use of purine receptor terminology.
