Abstract
Considering the amount of technology that goes into making them, modern electronic components are fantastic value. A 4017 CMOS decade-counter I.C. costs about as much as a single portion of raw steak, and a lettuce changes hands for the price of a 115 W power transistor. High technology comes cheap!
