Abstract
It is better to purchase equipment at a shop specialising in drawing office equipment, rather than a chain store that is aiming at the school market. Quality can be very variable and the better quality is more expensive. The student should buy the best quality he can afford, spreading the cost by building up his collection gradually. He should not buy expensive sets of anything, but individual items as they become necessary.
