Abstract

There are many causes of loss of consciousness. Some of the more common ones include hysteria, belief in witchcraft, fear, etc., excessive drinking of alcohol, diabetes mellitus (sugar diabetes), fainting, a stroke or a knock on the head (causing concussion).
