Tremor in relation to certain other movement disorders

  • Chapter
Movement Disorders: Tremor

Abstract

Relationships between tremor and other movement disorders are complex because, on the one hand, there are several entirely different types of tremor (Young and Shahani, 1979a) and, on the other hand, practically any one, two or even three types of tremor can and do coexist with any other movement disorder. In other words, the presence of a tremor or tremors in a patient does not confer immunity from any other movement disorder or vice versa.
