Abstract
Beside cytochrome c. little is known on the occurence and nature of methylated proteins in yeast. Cannon et al. (1977) and Kruiswijk et al. (1978) have used the classical method of double labelling with methionine to detect methylated proteins in yeast ribosomes. Their results suggested the presence of at most a few methylated proteins in the large subunit (60S).
