Abstract

Our recent work on the evaluation of left ventricular performance led us to consider not only the usual signals like ECG, pressure and flow but also images of the heart cavities obtained by cine-angiography and echography (Fontenier et al., 1980). Consequently, we have developed a system for acquisition and processing of contours and images, associated to a multichannel signal acquisition unit (Fontenier et al., 1979). Microprocessor technology reduces the realisation costs, and gives more flexibility for a modular structure.
